Renting a 4WD can be difficult in some areas. We rented a jeep in Hawaii once to do some exploring and they made us sign an extra waiver saying that we would not take it "off-road". We moved to Carova from DE ourselves and I always suggest to friends & family up there who don't have a 4WD to just rent one from up there and put all the wear and tear on that instead. http://Blog.JPPeron.com You are right.
